SIW Internationale Vrijwilligersprojecten is a Dutch NGO that empowers young people to engage in international volunteer work. The organization sought a renewed brand identity, clearer communications and stronger engagement among younger audiences with a limited to no budget.
My Role
Board Member: Marketing & Brand Strategy, Communications & Creative Direction
I set the strategic direction for SIW’s marketing & communications, and helped strengthen the brand for a new generation of volunteers.

Developed a refreshed brand positioning and messaging framework.
Defined communication pillars tailored to youth engagement and international collaboration.
Created communication strategies for recruitment, partnerships and visibility.
Creative Direction
Guided the creation of visual and narrative assets across campaigns and partnerships.
Shaped content themes, tone of voice and storytelling for SIW’s digital channels.
Designed and supported events, activations and workshops for volunteers and partners.
Production Direction
Worked closely with internal teams and volunteers to ensure quality and consistency in all communication materials.
Oversaw the planning and creative development of program materials, event experiences and digital assets.
Maintained brand coherence across collaborations with external partners.
Impact
Strengthened SIW’s brand identity and relevance among younger audiences.
Increased clarity and consistency in communications across channels.
Supported the development of new initiatives connecting Dutch youth with global volunteer opportunities.
