As board member, I lead the marketing and communications strategy of SIW. I set the vision, develop positioning plans, and oversee a small team and external creatives for execution. Together, we're reshaping SIW's identity to connect with a new generation of volunteers (aged 18–30).
We're currently launching a refreshed tone of voice, a brand-new website (coming soon!), and campaigns that reflect what young people today are truly looking for: adventure, purpose, and personal growth through international volunteering.
Key responsibilities:
– Developing and executing communication and brand strategies
– Leading projects and managing creatives (design, copy, video, social)
– Defining brand positioning and storytelling direction
– Advising programme teams on strategic use of communication and storytelling
– Creating visual assets (Canva / Photoshop)
– Organising events like info-days and fairs
– Managing the CMS
– Creating timelines, managing budgets and safeguarding progress
– Representing SIW at international partner meetings and events
